Tintern Angiddy Project (TAP)
TAP is a community project hoping to harness power, via a hydroelectric scheme, from the Angiddy River; just like the old industries of the valley did 150 years ago.
A 'not for profit making company' has been formed and is currently being managed by four directors who are currently trying to obtain planning and the necessary capital funds needed to get the project off the ground. If they are successful local community groups will then benefit from income generated from the sale of electricity in the form of local grants.
TAP are currently looking for members to support the project so if you care about the environment and have £1 to spare why not join the scheme. For further details please contact Morris Jones 01291 689228 or Chris Rastall 01291 689228
